Monica ended up working two hours longer than her 12-hour shift. It was 3 am before she walked into her Brooklyn apartment. The lights were on and she smelled something sweet baking. Allowing the smell of a freshly baked pineapple cake to lead her, she found him just about ready to flip his upside down cake.
